Described as “a concert for the soul,” Soundbath is an experience in which the gong and singing bowls are played in a way to promote a more relaxed mind and nervous system. In a well-played Soundbath, the sounds guide listeners on a journey of self discovery and inner exploration, promote deep relaxation and peace and expansion of consciousness, and help to open the body’s entire energetic system.

crocus bloomsSpring Detox: Yin Yoga and Acupuncture

Sunday, Mar 18
3:30 - 5:00 pm

Yin Yoga and Acupuncture promote health and well-being by enhancing the flow of Life Force (chi, prana) through the body. Yin Yoga does this by placing the body into a sequence of particular shapes, and then holding these shapes passively for several minutes each. Each Yin pose creates a constructive tension within a different region of the body that, upon release of the pose, causes chi to flood the region. Acupuncture enhances the flow of chi by painlessly inserting needles at particular points in the body where the chi pathways (meridians) flow.

This gentle practice is suitable to all levels. We begin with Yin Yoga and finish with an extended relaxation (savasana) during which the acupuncture is applied. We'll focus specifically on the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians, as these are the dominant energy meridians for our body's health in springtime. Benefits include detoxification and enhanced digestion, leading to improved overall energy flow and a more easygoing disposition, more balanced emotions, and greater flexibility and adaptability to change. A perfect energetic "jump start" for Spring!

Cost is $35 in advance; $40 at the door. Space is limited to maximize individual attention. Use the button below to reserve your space using PayPal or major credit card:

Essential Oils and Yoga are powerful tools you can use for self-soothing and wellness in mind, body and heart. Yoga postures (asana) and yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) help to calm turbulent emotions so that you can relax and remember the peace that lies within, to hear and trust your body’s natural wisdom. When combined with Essential Oils especially formulated to promote calm, the effect can be profoundly peaceful.
